A Heart for Missions, a Mind for Business

To accomplish parts of the vision we formed Evangelistic Commerce (EC Institute) to reach out to students and educators. This program operated from 2000 through 2005 inspiring hundreds of colleges and thousands of students through speaking engagements and internships. Many of the colleges have now embraced the concepts and have started programs of their own. Major ministries have joined the movement and over 20,000 students will be exposed to the Business-as-Mission vision at the upcoming Urbana conference hosted by Intervarsity.

The goals of EC Institute have been accomplished. We have completed our task and therefore we have decided to close EC Institute as a non-profit corporation. This means that we will no longer be accepting donations after September 30, 2006. We all deeply appreciate your support and rejoice in your help in completing the task.

While we will be closing EC Institute, this is not an abandonment of the vision of Business-as-Mission. It simply reflects the end of our donor funded educational work - for which purpose it was created. I will continue in the ministry God has called me to through speaking engagements, modeling the principles though EC Group International and leading the Global CEO Network Meetings.
